Most hearing aids sold since 2024 have LE Audio inside (ReSound, Jabra, Oticon, Starkey and others — ask your audiologist about "Auracast"). HearAura finds broadcasts, joins with one tap or a QR scan, controls the broadcast volume, and can quiet your aids' own microphones so you hear only the program.
🎧 You wear earbuds
Auracast-capable LE Audio earbuds tune in the same way — HearAura is the remote. Got AirPods? AirPods can't receive Auracast broadcasts yet, but HearAura's live captions (including an AirPods-mic mode) and two-way conversation Channels work great with them today.
What the app does
- Join broadcasts — scan a QR code or pick a nearby Auracast stream; your devices join in seconds, and you control the volume from your phone or Apple Watch.
- Live captions, on device — the room's speech becomes text on your screen, generated entirely on your iPhone. Nothing you hear is sent to a server.
- Channels — share conversation audio and captions with nearby friends' iPhones over your local network. Nothing touches the internet.

What is Auracast?
Auracast™ is broadcast audio built into Bluetooth. A venue transmits; anyone nearby with compatible hearing aids, earbuds, or headphones tunes in — like Wi-Fi for sound. It's an open standard from the Bluetooth SIG, so it works across brands. HearAura is the iPhone app that makes joining effortless.
